Hi Friends! Are you interested in reading an advanced copy of Catwalk? I started a private Facebook group for those of you who are!
This group is invite only and for people who are interested in reading and reviewing my debut novel, Catwalk, before it comes out on July 6th. Email me at nngabor.writer @ gmail.com and I’ll send you the link!
If you’ve already received an ARC and would still like to be part of the group and discussion, let me know! I’d love to have you there.
💕You will receive a free e-book copy of “Catwalk” in exchange for an honest review.
💕Please post your reviews on GoodReads and Instagram, Facebook, or your platform of choice. Be sure to tag me.
💕Please do this BEFORE 6/28! This gives you almost FOUR weeks from today to read and review.
If you are not interested in the Facebook group, or do not have a Facebook page, please email me so I can send you the book link and you can participate that way! (Same rules still apply.)
New Stories in Highlights “High Five” Children’s Magazine
Guys, I’m so totally and completely thrilled that Highlights High Five magazine — the kind I read as a child (!) — has published two of my stories.
“Who Keeps Waking Me?” is published in the April 2021 issue. It’s based on a silly game my husband used to play with our kids when they were very little. His father used to play it with him, so I think it’s become a family tradition! Love the artwork by the talented Marta Alvarez.
“Feliz Navidad” is published in the December 2019 issue. What’s so special about this story is that it’s about a little girl, Mia, who lives in the Southwest United States, where it’s warm in the winter. That doesn’t stop her from celebrating the holidays in her own special way! Check out the beautiful illustrations from Natali Sejuro Aliaga.
You can find Highlights High Five at your local booksellers. Or you can find it here.
Hey, everyone! I am super-excited to share the news that I’m about to author my first series of kids’ books!
The books will be based on a popular South Korean cartoon called Gyuri & Friends, produced by TunTun English. This series will follow little dragon Gyuri and his friends (Bella, Ducky, Teeny, Leo & Jojo) on many adventures. The stories will be written for kids ages 3-4.
Owl’s Nighttime Surprise, an early reader ESL book I’ve written with simple language and drills, is currently in production with Tuntun English. Here’s a peek of two book panels that combine the text (not yet finalized) with the illustration.
Love the artwork? It’s the talent of Ethan Long, an Emmy-nominated animator, illustrator and author, best known for Disney Jr.’s Tasty Time with ZeFronk.
Kudos to my good friend, author Jennifer Byrne, who just published the very useful and hilarious girl’s guide Fake It: More Than 100 Shortcuts Every Woman Needs to Know. This book makes all those time-sucking tasks — like doing the laundry, baking a homemade dessert for a school fundraiser, and maintaining a socially acceptable level of hygiene (shaving, again!?) — seem effortless!
Check it out, then consider buying a copy for all the women in your life this holiday season!
